Character Themes

As a writer, I’ve almost always found songs that really help when I’m writing about certain characters. I thought I might share a most of the ones for the memorable characters in Dawn of Emotions. Maybe somebody will find this after reading the book and they’ll get some sort of understanding.

First we have Crea, since she’s the one who’s going to through everything. Her song is In The Light by DC Talk. Listen to it, and you’ll see how much of an impact Dawn has on the girl.

Then there’s Dawn herself, whose song will always be Love Song For A Savior by Jars of Clay. It’s the song that had a huge impact on Dawn’s character as a whole.

Kaym’s song has to be Alone by Sanctus Real. Even when he’s away from Dawn, she knows that he’s thinking of her, hoping that she’s okay without him. It’s a very deep song when I think about Kaym and Dawn’s relationship as adoptive father and daughter.

Sophia’s song was actually really hard to come up with, but it ended up being 21 Guns by Green Day. She ends up being Dawn’s mother, but 21 Guns really shows the affect that Dawn’s put into Sophia’s life.

Winter’s song is obviously Half Of My Heart by John Mayer. It’s pretty self explanatory on this one.

That’s all for the majority of the main characters. There’s still others like Drama Queen for Ravine, but that’s just normal with me. I have too many characters with songs, so it’s wonderful when I get to writing with all of their songs all the time
